Devkamera was born and raised in the Philadelphia section of Pennsylvania.
He began directing in 2013 doing low budget videos for his neighborhood friends and eventually locally in the city.
Through a fellow partner he linked with music video legend, and film director Benny Boom where he began working with him as an editor. While doing so, Benny took him on as an apprentice to help shape his film career.
